In vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment is an assisted reproductive technique that has been successfully applied for many years for couples who cannot have children naturally. It offers a ray of hope, especially for couples who cannot conceive due to unexplained infertility, advanced age, infections and blockages in the fallopian tubes in women, and low sperm count and poor quality in men. Metabolic disorders such as obesity are also among the reasons why IVF treatment is preferred. Today, IVF is the most commonly applied infertility treatment, achieved by combining male and female reproductive cells in a laboratory and implanting the fertilized egg into the mother's womb.

What is IVF? IVF is the process in which an egg cell taken from the mother is combined with the father's sperm cells in a laboratory environment, resulting in fertilization, and the resulting embryo is implanted into the mother's uterus. This method is applied to increase the chances of pregnancy in couples who cannot achieve pregnancy naturally. IVF treatment offers an effective solution, especially in cases such as advanced age, problems with the fallopian tubes, ovulation disorders, and male infertility.

When Should You Consider IVF Treatment? Women under the age of 35 who have no health problems that prevent them from getting pregnant should consult a specialist and undergo necessary examinations if they cannot conceive after one year of unprotected and regular sexual intercourse. For women over 35 or those who have previously had pregnancy-related problems, this period is set at 6 months. If pregnancy does not occur within this time frame, IVF treatment should be sought without delay.

Methods Used in IVF Treatment In IVF treatment, two different methods are applied to place the embryos into the uterus. In classical IVF treatment, egg and sperm cells are combined in a specific environment, and fertilization is expected to occur naturally. The microinjection method, on the other hand, is performed by directly injecting sperm cells into the egg cell using special pipettes. The choice of method is made by the specialist doctor based on the couple's individual characteristics and health conditions.

How Many Times Can IVF Be Tried? IVF treatment is generally recommended to be tried three times. Although there is still a possibility of pregnancy after these attempts, the success rate decreases. Especially for women of advanced age, it may be necessary to increase the number of attempts.

Success Rate in IVF Treatment Success in IVF treatment varies depending on factors such as the age of the mother and the quality of the embryo. While the success rate of IVF treatment in women under the age of 30 is around 55-60%, this rate drops to 15-20% in women over the age of 40. Therefore, it may increase the chances of success to start IVF treatment at an early stage, especially in women of advanced age.

IVF Treatment Costs The cost of IVF treatment may vary depending on the services offered by the center, the techniques used, and the patient's health condition. To get detailed information and a price quote, you can fill out the contact form and get support from our expert team.

Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) and IVF IUI treatment is an effective method applied to couples who cannot have children naturally. This procedure, performed by placing sperm directly into the uterus, increases the chances of pregnancy. However, if IUI treatment does not yield sufficient results, couples may turn to IVF treatment and begin a more advanced treatment process.

IVF treatment is an effective method that helps many couples realize their dream of having children today. Thanks to the developing medical technologies, success rates are increasing, and it continues to be a ray of hope for couples who cannot have children.
